GRD College Joins Hands with Pearson for Affordable World-Class Education and Global Placements

Dehradun, September 16, 2025 – In a landmark initiative for the youth of Uttarakhand, GRD College, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, has partnered with Pearson to provide affordable, world-class education and open doors to international placements. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between global standards of education and local affordability, empowering students with modern skills and international opportunities.

The signing ceremony took place at the GRD College campus in the presence of Vice Chancellor Indrajit Singh, Managing Director Dolly Oberoi, Director General Dr. Pankaj Chaudhary, Jasmeet Kalra, and Dr. Karunakar Jha from GRD College. Representing Pearson, Regional Manager India Mustafa Rahman attended as the chief guest.

The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Chaudhary, who spoke on aligning the Indian education system with global standards and the reforms required for future readiness.

In her address, GRD Managing Director Dolly Oberoi emphasized that this collaboration would especially benefit financially weaker families, ensuring that children from Uttarakhand can access high-quality global education at an affordable cost. She highlighted the institution’s mission of equipping students with modern, cost-effective education leading to employment and international placements.

On behalf of Pearson, Regional Manager Mustafa Rahman stated that this is Pearson’s first center in Uttarakhand, dedicated to supporting local students. He stressed the importance of skill development, technical expertise, and industry-oriented learning to meet global demands. Rahman also noted that with the rising cost of professional courses abroad, such partnerships are essential to provide accessible education and international career opportunities for students from ordinary families.

The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members of GRD College. The program was conducted by Jasmeet Kalra, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Karunakar Jha.
